Uiterwyk Wine Estate was one of the first producers of Merlot in South Africa. The 1984 was the maiden vintage and was considered such good quality that it was chosen to be served to the first class passengers of South African Airways in 1986.

This wine is produced from a single vineyard.
Ripe plum and cherry flavours with a peppery undertone. A rich and elegant Merlot that will benefit from time in the bottle.
