In The Cellar
The 1993 Uiterwyk Estate Wine was the first Cape Blend to be made in South Africa. A Cape Blend is a wine in which Pinotage is the crucial component of the blend. The 1998 Estate blend received cold maceration for 14 days for ultimate fruit extraction. It was matured for 23 months in 60% new French barriques. The Pinotage in the blend is the well-known Top-of-the-Hill Pinotage from Uiterwyk.
